This is the governor's office, we are not taking calls right now.

Surely it cannot be true. Governor Ruth Ann Minner, has redirected her website and taken down the link to her email address. The website and blog that she was so very proud of. On her way to becoming a real computer superuser. No warning, no explanation. Just gone. I wonder if this has anything to do with the overwhelming amount of emails she has received on behalf of Lauren Richardson. Maybe.

Last week when I called the Governor's office to leave a message in regards to Lauren, I was transferred three times. All three people that I spoke with were incredibly rude. Which is disturbing in and of itself considering they were representing the Governor at the time. The last woman assured me that she did not even know who Lauren Richardson was, and that the Governor COULD not and WOULD not do anything in regards to the situation.

Funny, you work for the state and there was a protest and an article on the front page, and you don't know who Lauren Richardson is? Well be that as it may, the situation is a controversial and one that is not going to go away anytime soon, so I am pretty sure the Governor is aware. And if she's not, she needs to read the paper every now and then. Only after I told the woman that I was a resident of the state and a citizen of the country and I wanted to leave a message for MY Governor, was I allowed to leave a message. I am positive the Governor did not get my message that day. It was "clear and convincing" that the message was not written down.

And now her email address is gone. It seems to me it would be a lot easier to deal with emails than phone calls. I could be wrong of course. I wonder if the people who elected Governor Ruth Ann Minner are aware of the fact that she ignores phone calls and emails from the people of the state. Lauren's story is being told more internationally than it is in her own state! Not for lack of trying on her family's part. They have been stymied over and over, and apparently the court system and Governor Ruth Ann Minner has no problem helping with that.

Well, if she wants to stop getting emails that is fine, I am going to leave the phone number for both her Dover office and her Wilmington Office. If anyone is interested please call and explain that you would like the Governor to intervene and look into Lauren's case.
